Magic of Sweden

The depth of Sweden

Part of the landscape Småland in Sweden.

I have been in Sweden for two weeks now, and it feels amazing. Although I have loved my stay in France, I have kind of missed the deep forests, trees and green moss. It’s my roots after all, my balance, and the energy that has made me who I am today. A place I need, no matter of all my traveling. One evening after a grounding walk in nature, I sat down and these words about my home country Sweden emerged:

”SWEDEN”

There is nothing so quiet as you. Nothing so deep as you. Nothing so true as you. The green facade of leaves and trees you let us see, are merely the tip of the iceberg of your abundance though. From the ground, you pull me down into your roots, to let me breathe in the soil of mother earth to my human veins. As a mirror, you are letting me remember my own inner nature. When I rest in the grass upon your land looking up in the sky, I feel my ancestors’ voices, leading the thoughts into a fascinating combination of safety, tradition and invention. In your peacefulness many things happen to the intuitive, and you invite me to come up with the most unusual, expanding or joyful ideas. You allow me to plant seeds that also can grow in your rich soil and from there be spread further. The wilderness is swirling around my body and infuses me with the ability to be a freethinker, an adventurer, a peacemaker, a healer and one that communicates from your spine. A bit shy, a bit confident, but always with your long-term steadiness and green well-meant heart. You are also generous with letting everyone else enjoy this freedom of nature, to let other nations walk in your forests, swim in your many blue lakes and be amazed by the land’s eatable riches. Sometimes I truly adore you for all that you are, but sometimes on your stage, I don’t think you challenge or inspire my energy enough. That your calm depth keeps me to still. My soul needs a bit of movement to thrive in all that I have planted. That’s why I need to observe other skies and walk on other lands too. I love you, but need the whole world to stay even stronger connected, and to walk my path. My soul finds your part of the earth like an anchor – to rest, get balance, invent, structure and grow strong. In this lifetime, you give me this. Generously. And I thank you. /
